Today, I'm transferring a blog ownership to my secondary Google account. First trouble is that the invitation link now goes to spam, that's unusual. Second, is that when I open the link, it shows my primary blog account name instead.
This is because of Google's user separation path in the URL if you have multiple accounts logged in. You can sign in to your secondary account in incognito and the invitation link will show the correct username. But that's such a roundabout way.
Let's break down the issue.
**
The invitation URL looks like this:
https://www.blogger.com/invite/<blog-id>/<other-id>
Now, let's compare it with Gmail's,
So we have that numbering to show the page to the right user. Yeah, I can see why it didn't work for the invitation link. At least for me, I can't think of an easy way to find out whether the one accepting the invitation links is the primary or secondary user in the Blogger domain, so that's understandable.
Visit the invitation link, then insert your account index number in the URL. You can find this when you're visiting your own blogger page. For example, if your secondary account blogger URL looks like this,
https://blogger.com/u/1/...
then, the invitation link becomes like this:
https://www.blogger.com/u/1/invite/...
You should see the correct username in the invitation page now.
