I need one source of truth for Blogger blog template customization. This post is in sync with my Blogger template knowledge but only gets updated if I forget about something. Some details will be separated into their own post.
Locking Section
To prevent blog author from adding more gadget into a section in the layout editor, use the optional maxwidgets attribute on <b:section>.

Locking Gadget
To prevent blog author from removing or moving a blog gadged in the layout editor, set locked attribute of <b:widget> to true.
